Mr. Winston Churchill ; speaking at Dundee, dealing with the naval expenditure proposed in the Budget, referred to the “false, sham, lying panic Started in the party interests of the Conservatives.” Hjg added: “We will not he driven by the windy agitation of ignorant, interested, excited hotheads into 'Wasting public money -upon armaments, on a scale clearly not designed merely for the purposes of national defence, but part of a showy, sensational, aggressive jingo policy.”
