JUNIOR COMPETITION. ALHAMBRA v. WANDERERS.' Wanderers batted first on a matting wicket near the entrance gate, but could only total 14 runs against the bowling of West and Watson, who had the unique distinction of each having a hand in dismissing every wicket that fell. Both secured phenomenal bowling figures, the former capturing four wickets for 2 runs, and the latter 6 for, 9. Alhambra replied with the fine score of 182. Mcßae ran up a capital 92, and had the bad luck to be ruu out when his century seemed certain. Burke also played a nice innings for 40. Smith (5 for 63) and Muldoon (3 for 19) performed best with, the hall for Wanderers. Wanderers just managed to save the innings defeat, and had 9 wickets down for 40 runs when time was called, Owen showing good form for 20 before being run out.
