ROAD RACE IN OTAGO. rßisit Press Association.] DUNEDIN, October 24. Tlie Otago Centre of the League of New Zealand Wheelmen held a race yesterday, from Mosgiel to Milton and back, to decide who should represent Otago in the Timaru-Christchurcli road race next Saturday. The roads were in a very heavy condition, and the competitors had a gale of wind against them on the outward journey. Seventeen competitors out of 20 started, and the race was won by Maw, who also put up the fastest time, 2hr 57min. In adition to Maw, the following from Otago will compete in the race: Withey, Carnegie, and Dowie.
