THE LATEST OBSERVATIONS. United Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, Oct, 25. Professor Newail, of Cambridge, states that Halley’s comet is of magnitude from 14 to 14|. There Avill be a visual observation for ISO days before perihelion, compared with 102 days in ISBS. The observations do not justify the anticipation of any unusual brightness. Mr S. W. Burnham and Professor Barnard, of Yerkes Observatory, Wisconsin, Avith a 14-inch reflector, also observed the comet.
