INAUGURAL MEETING, 1909 SESSION. „ I'Pkr PitF.BS Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, October 27. The inaugural meeting cf the 1909 session of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church >*of Noav Zealand was held in St. AndreAv’s Church last night. There is a large attendance of ministers and 1 elders. The retiring Moderator (the Rev. J. Chisholm) conducted the deA'otional exercise, preceded by formal constitution of .the Assembly. H avas afteiavards reported that agreeeably to the recommendations of the last Assembly the Rev.. Isaac Jolly, M.A.. AA:as proposed as Moderator, and unanimously ejected. The Assembly having signified its assent to this, the Moderator was introduced and installed by the retiring Moderator. The newly elected Moderator then delivered an address to the Assembly. Several committees Avere setup.
