WHEAT MARKET QUIET. [Pun Prkss Association. I CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 27. The wheat market is still exceedingly quiet, the business passing within a narrow compass. Neither buyers nor sellers show- anxiety for trade at current prices, which remain unchanged, although the market ,if anything, is rather weaker. For oats the demand is rather better, but the quantity on offer is somewhat small, and little is doing. In potatoes Derwents are at £2 15s, Up-to-dates 30s to'3ss, but there is no demand-.- : •••
