HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE. Um 'ku Press Association— Copyright. LONDON, Oct. 27. The British steamer Hestia.struck a shoal in the Bay of Fundy. The captain and most of the crew and four passengers took .to the boats. One boat capsized and 14 persons were drowned. Two boats, with .30 people, aboard, are missing. Six of the crew, who stuck to the ship, were rescued lifeboats.
