Word has been received that Pearce, Day, Hagney, Mitchell, Thoroughgooil, and Messenger intend coming over from Australia to compete at the sculling handicaps at Wanganui in January. New Zealand will be represented by Arnst, Webb, and Whelcli. FogwoH and Kemp may also be included in the Australian team. AUSTRALIAN INTERSTATE FOURS. WELLINGTON, Oct. 28. Under instructions from his Management Committee, Mr. A. D. Bayfeild, hon. secretarv to the New Zealand Amateur Rowing Association, cabled' to Hobart this morning asking when the inter-State fours was to be rowed. This afternoon he received a reply that the race has been fixed for the 23rd February. It is proposed to send a crew from New- Zealand.
