L<srd Jersey, presiding at a lunch given by London bankers and merchants to Mr Rason, Agent-General for West Australia, declared he thought that'Britain did not sufficiently remember th© great services of the AgentsGeneral in linking the Empire and promoting commerce. Mr Rason said the most notable feature of public sentiment during his term of office was the marvellous development of the true Empire spirit, not only in England, but through the colonies, who were now showing by practical methods their anxiety to help to hear the burdens of this country.
