Advice has been received that the ketch Coronation arrived at Whitianga on Friday niglit. . The TJ.S.S. Co.’s Flora arrived from Auckland and Coast ports at midnight cm Saturday, and left at 7 o’clock last evening. She was detained here until last evening, so as to take any passengers if the monowai was overcrowded, hut this was not necessary owing to being few through passengers. The TJ.S.S. Co.’s Monowai returned from Auckland yesterday afternoon, ; arriving her© at 12.31). The • Tuatea had difficulty in getting out at noon, striking when hear the -entrance. As a result of this she stayed alongside the Monowai until the tide was better, and did not get back till 2.15. . . Captain John Burke, who was- rn command of the Monowai going north, returned south in her as a passenger, owing to illness; The Monowai got avvnv for south early in the- evening. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall left Auckland at 1 p.m.- on Saturday, and arrives liere to-day, leaving again in the evening.
