CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CONFERENCE.

COMMERCIAL REPRESENTATION ON HARBOR BOARDS.

TPeu Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Nov. 1.. A deputation representing the Chamber of Commerce Conference and Wellington Chamber waited on the Minister for Marine to-day to urge that the commercial community should have representation on Harbor Boards. The Minister, in reply, said the Harbor Bill was in print, but had not yet been approved by Cabinet. He was tree to say that the Bill would contain provision for the representation of payers of dues on the Board, and representation of Chambers of Commerce would therefore amount to something like duplication. He added that the Government representation on Boards would be continued.
