TAI-RAWHITI LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Tai Ilawhiti Maori Land Board was held in the office of the Board yesterday, before Messrs A. Keefer (president), G. H. Bullard, and Otene Pitau. Applications for consent to lease were approved of as follows: —Pupakorokoro No. 5, 472 acres, and No. 7, 600 acres, to John Oxenliani (Messrs Kirk, Burnard and-Sievwright), for 21 years. Manukawhitikitiki No. 2F2, 25 acres 3 roods 7 perches, to Alfred George Neall, (Messrs Rees Bros, and Bright), for 2- years. Applications for recommendation for the removal of restrictions for sale were agreed to in the following cases, subject to the lessors satisfying the Board that they have sufficient land left for maintenance: —Orangitiroliia I2E No. 2,2 roods 21 perches, to Oscar Albert Jonson (Mr E. Sandeman), and AVliakapau No. 3 (part) 1 acre 1 rood 22 perches,’ to Philip Henry Summericld (Mr. E. Sandeman). Applications for approval of alienations under section 7 of the Maori Land Laws Amendment Act, 190 S, were approved of as follows: —Transfer of AA’aituhi No. 2D (part), Mini Jverekcro to Himiona Katipa (Messrs Chrisp and Coleman); mortgage of leasehold interests of Panikau Nos. 4AI and SAI and Ivifikiriroa No. 28, Arapeta Rangiuia to John Rutherford Shaw (Rees Bros, and Bright) ; transfer of leasehold interests Mangapoike No. 2C, AYetini Rikirangi to AY. C. Good and H. E. Bright (Rees Bros, and Bright). Other cases were dealt with’, but were held over till next meeting of the Board which takes place on December 6.
