. The“Daily r -Mail” ridicules, the “Chronicle’s” swallowing the Gladstone interview as a whole. The “Chronicle” disavows responsibility, for .the Gladstone interview. The ‘‘P-all Mall Gazette” assails the “Chronicle” for publishing an “infamous, blasphemous concoction.” Other papers ridicule or condemn the whole transaction.
