The State Assembly read the Capital Site Surrender Bill a second time on the voices. Members congratulated Mr Wade, the Premier, on securing the settlement of' a long-pending question.
THE QUEENSLAND PARLIAMENT
BRISBANE, Nov. 2. Parliament was opened by commission to-day. The Hon. J. T. Bell was elected Speaker. The official opening will take place to-morrow.
