AYOA!AN THROWN FROM TRAP
rriui Press Association. 1 ASHBURTON, Nov. 3. While driving to Ashburton yesterday. Mrs. M. Rooney, of Winchmore, was'thrown out of a trap and severely fractured her skull. She is now progrossing favorably, though hor condition is 'still regarded as critical. - INQUEST AT”CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 3. An elderly man named Hamilton Geary, who attempted to cut his throat with an ordinary pocket knife on Friday evening last, died at the hospital on Tuesday night. An inquest was held to-day, when a verdict was given of death from heart-failure, accelerated bv a wound self inflicted while temporarily in a state of unsound mind.
