JUSTICE GAYNOR ELECTED
United Press Association —Copyright, (Received November 4. 12.20 a.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 3.
Justice Gay nor has been elected by a plurality of 60,000 over Mr. Bannard (Republican) and Mr. iHearst, who was third in the New York Mayoralty contest. . " The vote wa.s below expectations. There are indications that Justice Raynors colleagues were defeated through the Hearst party’s solid endorsement of Tammany’s 1 Republican opponents. Reuter reports that the Fusionists claim to have secured most of Die minor offices, including a majority on the Board of Estimates and Apportionments, which authorises all expenditure. This control is particularly important this election, as immense sums are likely to be expended on underground railways and other improvements.
[Justice. Gaynor is the Tammany candidate.}
