QUEENSLAND CHILLED MEAT
SUCCESSFUL TRIAL SHIPMENTS
United Press Association —Copyright, LONDON, Nov. 7.
' The “Shipping and Mercantile Gazette” devotes a column to the system •of preparing chilled meat before ship- : ment, the process keeping the cargo • wholesome and sweet. A trial shipment from Queensland reached Lon- • don by the steamer Marathon in ex- ., eellent condition. The paper adds that the underwriters will doubtless be able to fix the premium sufficiently low not -to cripple what promises to be a trade with a .great future.
PREPARED BY LINLEY PROCESS
BRISBANE, Nov. 8. The Marathon’s shipment of chilled "beef was prepared by the Linley process in specially prepared rooms at the Redbank meat works.
