According to the “New York Globe’s” Washington correspondent, Lieutenant Peary declares he will make a dash for the South Pole within five years, under the auspices of the Peary Arctic Club. A STATEMENT BY PEARY. (Received November 11, 10.35 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 11.

Commander Peary, contradicting the “Globe’s” information, declares that the United States should organise a national expedition, but that to 'attempt to utilise Captain Scott’s route or the region wherein he is to work would be entirely improper.
