ROWING.
GISBORNE CLUB
The second round of the Robertson Fours was rowed off last evening. The race between Curtis and H. Puflett provided* a most exciting contest. Both crews got away well together, but Curtis soon established a slight lead. Puflett drew level at the junction, and from there to the finish it was an even struggle, resulting in a dead-beat. The race will be rowed again to-night. Traill easily disposed of Bennett, winning comfortably by two lengths. A large number of spectators witnessed the races. To-morrow the winners of the match between Curtis and Puflett will row Traill in the final. To-night the final of the A. grade for Mr. Hennessy’s trophies takes place .between P.
