A SUDDEN DEATH.
ELDERLY MAX EXPIRES AT
F'-rlv on Saturday morning Sergeant Hutton received intimation that a man named Charles Adams, aged 69 yea..-., and emploved at the Alurewai Hotel, had died suddenly. Further particulars showed that the deceased man had been complaining of a genera] ic-eling of Blness and pams in his cnest He vas given a mustard plaster by Airs. Currie to relieve him, and at 8 a m. on Saturday he was smoking and apparently much better. A few moments later, however, he fell against a wall m tlie vard and expired almost, immediately. ' Constable Dandy .was sent oat to Alurewai to make and Lr. was also summnea. Tne medical opinion was that death was due to heart failure, and under the circumstances the District Coroner, Air. AN . A. Barton. S.AI., has decided that an inquest is not necessary.
