.The profit of the Pacific Cable Board ior the year 190 S-1909 amounted to £16,657 on the working of the cable. There has to be taken into -account the annual repayment of the cost of construction. This amounts to £77,544 sterling, leaving a deficit of £60,857, of which Australia pays £20,295 and New Zealand £6765.
