LONDON, Nov. 19. The steamer Mooltan is taking no general cargo for Adelaide, but is utilising the space for.7So tons of coal, which, with the usual bunker supplies, win suffice for the return journey to Colombo.
AN INFLAMMATORY SPEECH

SYDNEY, Nov. 21
A mass meeting of Newcastle Unionists expressed full confidence in the strike congress sitting at Sydney. Mr. Peter Bowling in a speech said that if the. Government did not soon step in and force the proprietors to give justice to the miners, something would be brought about that would be an example to. the capitalists of this country and the rest of the world. . Representatives of the Seamen’s Union declare that their union is prepared to “down tools” whenever suen a course will be in the interests of the strikers. The representatives of other unions also spoke in support of the strike.
ANOTHER ABORTIVE INTERVIEW
The strike conference delegates interviewed Air. Wade, and informed him that they could not accept liis proposal, but submitted a counter proposal lor an open conference between the coliiery proprietors and the miners, stating that the miners would not consent to return to work prior to or during the conference, but ill order to facilitate an early resumption of work in the event of satisfactory terms being arranged, they were willling to recommend that the requisite men should he put on during the sittings of the conference, to get the mines ready to restart. The delegates subsequently reported the counter proposal to the conference, which endorsed it, and Air. Wade is now considering it. COAL FOR NOUMEA. TPer Press Association.'! AVESTPORT, Nov. 20. The Stockton Coal Company lias received an order for 2000 tons of coal for Noumea. The pressure of New Zealand orders may prevent the business being taken up. The AYaihora takes 4700 tons of the Westport Coal Comnany’s coal to Fremantle nexu week for the navy. The Waitemata, from Sydney, is now bunkering 2000 tons here to take wool from Wellington for London under the Ssliaw, Savin Co.’s order. When the Waitemata lett Sydney last Sunday the hospitals were inconvenienced by the scarcity_of coai. The AVhangape has sailed for Fiji with 4000 tons of Stockton coal.
