The New Alpine mine manager imports as follows:— During the week oho face was extended 25 feet, which makes a total of 360 feet. The stone mentioned in last report- cut out on November 22nd, and decreased m valu£. drive has been lot to a good party on contract for 100 feet. The contract™ commenced on the morning of the 24th inst. In stuping on No. 2 block the stone pinched. We raised up on it and decreased the length. Values woie also low on the average, though very patchy. A new pump has been connected, so as to munp to No. 10 .-evel (the adit level). All stoping has been stopped for the present, and driving north will be. pushed ahead. Another 60 feet north should bring us up to stone. Costs have been .reduced to tli-e lowest possible figure.
