BOWLING.
GISBORNE CLUB. Though the weather yesterday afternoon was not very favorable for bowling, jflay was carried on at the Gisborne Club’s green. A match in the first round of the handicap singles took place between W. Pettie and Mackintosh, each of whom had a handicap allowance of four points. The play was of a very even description, and resulted in favor of W. Pettie by two points, the final scores being: Pettie 21, Mackintosh 19The first round of the handicap rours is to be concluded to-day.
