LAND FOR SETTLEMENT FINANCE BILL. [Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Nov. 27. After midnight on Friday, Mr. Ell condemned'the Bill, as it was full of difficulties. He could not approve of the taxpayers’ money being out to such uses as proposed in the Bill. After further debate Sir Joseph Ward replied, and the Bill was read a second time by 35 to 4. ihe minority were Messrs Laurenson, Ell. Witty, and Davey The House rose at 2.35 a.m.
