A SUCCESSFUL OPENING

[l’ltli Phksb Association.l AUCKLAND, Nov. 29. The attendance on People’s Day at the Agricultural Show on Saturday was about 30,000. The gate takings amounted to £llsß, an increase of £172 on last year. The weather, was beautiful except for a few heavy showers. The champion Border Leicester ram sold for 27" guineas, and the champion stud Shropshire for 25 guineas. Some yearling shorthorn bulls, exhibited by Wm, Taylor, of Te Awamutu, sold at from 20 guineas to 30 guineas, and a Jersey heifer from Thos. McKenzie, Feilding, sold for 20 guineas.
