' The Canterburv Trades and Labor Council on Saturday night received a deputation from the Waterside W<ffkors J Federation, wiiieli desirea. to ouss the attitude of Mr. Justice Siui in a memorandum that lie had inserted in the Auckland Waterside Workers’ award, with reference to pillaged cargo. The deputation stated that the employers had made it appear thatall pillaging that took place_ during a vovage half round the globe had occurred in Auckland. The Union had had no chance of calling rebutting evidence in Court. A petition was in course of preparation for .presentation to the Minister of Labor asking him to set ut> a commission to inquire into the whole matter; and the Federation desired the Council to pass a resolution on the subject. .
