The miners’ meeting at Runaga decided to request the executive of the Federation to call a special meeting for one day next w-eek, at "Westport, to ■ consider the situation. This is the onlynews made public. There is nothing to report in connection with the State mine strike to-day-At llunanga a mass meeting was held this morning, and adjourned till tomorrow. 1,4
There is a feeling abroad that unlessthe Government arrange matters' the State min? will be idle until after Christmas. -• The; "Wharf Laborers’ Union members are feeling the pinch owing to no State coal being shipped.
