PATHE PICTURES
To-night the Patlio Picture Company present tho current programme for the last time. This programme is of a distinctly higher standard than that which has been presented in the past. The subjects are well chosen. On the scenic side the audience are taken for a tour through Japan, including an exciting boat journey down the famous Hakodate rapids'; they are. transported to British Columbia and given an insight into its lumber, fishery, mining, and other industries; and subsequently a visit is paid to Africa, and the whole Iff process of cocoa manufacture is fully explained. Best of all is a visit to France until beautiful Versailles and its . . magnificent gardens and architecture illustrated as they would have appeared a century ago, and again as they are Op-to-day with the myriad fountains, il- w luminated with many-colored electric lights, playing , before a multitude of sight-seers. Tlio Richmond horse show gives evidence of the fine class of horses exhibited at English County shows, and .of the fine jumping displayed. The dramatic element of the programme includes a fine representation of David Belasco's powerful play, "The Devil, while the comic element is well up to the usual standard. There will be another complete change of programme to-morrow afternoon, and evening.
