At a special general meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council to-night, called to discuss the attitude of the Wellington Assocation 'in declining to join in the pooling scheme in connection with the tour of the Australian team, it was unanimously decided after discussion “That having heard the views of the Wellington Association through its delegate, Mr. Leckie, the question of financing the Australian tour be referred to the Management Committee wth full power to act.” The committee will communicate witih the guaranteeing Associations to ascertain whether they favor the pooling scheme or the scheme whereundei; they will guarantee a certain amount irrespective of whether or not the match in their centre is financially successful. CANTERBURY COLLEGE V. OTAGO UNIVERSITY. The match between Canterbury College and Otago University finished today, and' resulted in a win for the for-* mer by an innings-and 78 runs.
