ORDERS TOR DECEMBER. The Officer commanding. Captain C. Hellier Ev ( ans, has issued the following orders for December; —• Parades: The squadron will parade, mounted, at Ormond,on Saturday, 18th December, at 3 p.m.; dress drill order. Troops will assemble as follows: Gisborne troop at Waerenga-a-bika, at 2.30 p.m.; Te JLvaraka troop at Lieutenant Poynter’s residence,,at 2 p.m.; Makauri troop at VVaerenga-a-hika, at 2.30 p.m. After, the parade the squadron will dine at Ormond hotel. Dismounted troop parades will be held as under: Gisborne troop at Garrison Hal], on. Tuesday, 7th December, at 8 p.m.; To Karaka' troop at To Karaka Hall, on Thursday, 16th December, at 7.30 p.m.; Makauri troop at 'VVaerenga-a-hika Hall, on Tuesday, 14th December, at 7.30 ->.m.; dress, drill order. Recruit parades may be held as ordered bv troop leaders. - Appointments and promotions: Gisborne troop, No. 202, Trooper S. H. P. McLernon is appointed‘ acting-corporal, and No. 107, Trooper F. Cumming is appointed lance-corporal. Lance-Cor-poral Cumming is appointed Quarter-master-Sergeant’s assistant, and will act accordingly. Permanent fours: Owing to recent promotions and enrolment of new members troop leaders will require to rearrange the permanent fours in their troops. This must be done at once, and lists forwarded to the officer commanding the squadron before the 11th inst. Annual sports: The O.C. the squadron expresses his entire satisfaction with the behavior of all xaii'ks at the annual sports on 9th November last, and at the enthusiastic manner in' which the various events were competed for. Squadron roll; The squadron roll now exceeds the strength laid down in paragraph 3, defence regulations, viz., 84, and therefore no more new members can be admitted until vacancies occur by discharge or dismissal. The 0.C., while congratulating the members on the position as regards numbers, regrets that there have been some members whose attendances are. irregular, and unless a considerable improvement is shown they will be dismissed.
