* 9 The Rev. Father Lane will leave Gisborne on the 13th. inst. for a- visit to the Coast, returning about the 20th inst. There will be no Mass in St.. Mary’s Church on Sunday, 19th inst. The tender of Mr. J. J. Chapman has been accepted for the purchase of the entire stock of the late Co-opera-tive Supply Association. Somo discussion took place regarding three resolutions forwarded from the Canterbury Beekeepers’ Association. The resolutions dealt with the legislation affecting beekeepers, and one of them strongly protested against the appointment of the late Government apiarist to the charge of the Government apiaries, “believing that there are younger, abler, and more energetic men capable of filling the position.” The meeting by - a unanimous _ vote decided to endorse the resolutions.
