ENTERTAINMENTS.

PATHE PICTURES. Notwithstanding the decided counter attractions there was a largo and appreciative audience last night to witness the final performance of tlio Pathe Pictures current programme. As on the previous evening every picture was well received and judging by applause, much enjoyed. The theatre, being engaged to-night, there will be no show, the next (performance being to-niorroiv. A matinee will ho given at 2.30 p.m. and the usual evening’s performance at 8 sharp. A new ■programme has been arranged and comprises some startling and realistic pictures a- good assortment of scenic subjects and several good comics. Some of the Star films are :—“A Voice from the Dead,” “The Mountebank’s Son,” "Mick Carter” (an exciting melodrama'), “The Exploits ;of Buffalo Bill.” “The Makeshift Postman” is a long film brimming over with 'humor and loughable situations, beng a skit on the recent Paris Postal Strike. Other pictures of note included in the programme are “Youthful Britons," .“Beautiful G-ottenburg,” “The Water Carnival at Mexioo,” and the comics “The Would-be Champion,” and Mr. Durant wants Amusement.”
