There was fine weather for tlie concluding day of the AA 7 oodville District Jockey Club’s summer meeting: The attendance was large, and a sum of £5437 passed through the totalisator, making £12,048 for the meeting. The amount named is £2200 behind last year’s total. Ten bookmakers were again licensed, nine inside and one outside. The total fees from the pencillers for the two days were £390. Interesting racing was witnessed. The following are details of the racing : Steward’s Hack Handicap, 6 furlongs.—First Battery 6.7, 1 ; Milan 7.10. 2; No Trumps 8.3, 3. Also started: Sublime 8.10. and AVaioriki 8.5. A\ r on by a clear length. Time, liriin 15sec. Second Handicap Hurdles, 14 mile.— Pearl Reef 10.11. 1; Feu de Joie 11.11, .2; Silken Rein 11.5, 3. Also started: Full Cry 10.13, AA’himper 10.8, Chase Mab 9.13, Maku 9.13, and Himitangi 9.0. Won by a length and a-lialf. Time, 2min 51 2-ssec. Ituahine Hack AVelter, 7 furlongs.— Rangikura 8.13, 1; Polynices 9.6, 2; Marton 8.1, 3. Also started : Ukraine 8.11, Sleecombe 8.10, Envoy 8.9, Rnngikapua 8.7, -and Captain 8.7. AA r on hard held by two lengths. Time, linin 30 2-ssec. ' Summer Handicap, 1 mile and a distance. —AVaikaraka 8.2, 1 jMoloeh 8.12, 2; Bridge 7.8, 3.
