CYCLING

ROAD RACES.

A read race between AA hataupoko and Makauri, for riders wlio have not been placed in previous races,- took place last evening, the distance being between 9 and 10 miles. The race resulted as follows:—A. AVillunson (scr) 1 and fastest time; Lionel AVilkiuson 2, C. Morrow 3. There were seven starters. , A race for boys under 16 years also took olaee, the ‘distance being a little over two miles. The result was: Clare 1 S Stevenson 2 and fastest time (8 min 12. sec), S. Grieve 3. There were nine starters. Prizes were donated by Messrs Aston Bros.
