Post Office.—Saturdays, the 22nd December and Ist January (Christmas Day and New Year’s Day) will be observed as close holidays. On Monday, the 27th : inst (for Boxing Day) the office will be open in all branches, except money order .and savings bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Receivers and posting boxes will be cleared on the evenings of Fridays, the 24th and 31,st inst. Mails usually despatched on Saturdays will be closed on the Friday nights, the 24th and 31st inst., at 7.30 p.m. On the 27th inst. the usual despatch of mails up to 8 a.m. will be made. Receivers and posting boxes cleared accordingly. A delivery will be made by letter carriers on the afternoons of the 24th and 31st inst.
