HOLY TRINITY SUNDAY SCHOOL.
PRESENTATION OF PRIZES.
Holy Trinity Schoolroom was crowded to overflowing last night, on the occasion of the presentation of prizes won by the pupils during 1908. The vicar, the Rev. L. Dawson Thomas, welcomed th© parents and friends present, and thanked Mrs. W. D. Lysnar for attending for the purpose of presenting the prizes. He regretted that owing to his absence in Australia matters had been delayed, but the large attendance that evening proved that interest in the work of. th© ... Sgnday School had not suffered. HeCsaid ho was pleased to be able to announce the results of the dioc&san examination that evening. The number of certificates gained ivas 44, while three prizes had also been gained. A short programme was submitted aes follows: Quartette, “But it is so,” rises Faubert and Hyett. Messrs Hamlin and Wilkes; song, “The Admiral’s Broom,” Mr. A. Williamson; recitation. Mr. Wilkes; song, Mr. Stenner. Miss D. Robinson and Master Ren wick acted fis accompanists. Mr. Downes greatly amused th© audience with a clever “Punch and Judy” show', introducing several clever local hits. During tlie evening Mr. Pointon gave a most interesting lantern exhibition, showing the cathedrals of England, Ireland, and Scotland, and a number of comic scenes.
