NEAV ALPINE MINE. (Special to “Times.”) GREYMOUTH, Dec. 16. < The following is the mine manager’s report for the week ending December 14th: —No. 14 level was extended 23ft, making the total distance driven by the contractors 80ft, and the total distance north of the crosscut 440 ft Nothing of any value was shown. The ground has been in a good state lo: speedy progress during the greater part of the week, but owing to the ground overhead becoming bad we had to stop driving and bring the timber close up. This is now aone, and the "round is still coming away from overhead which might prove to be the north winze block striking north very flat. The contractors will fimsn during the coming week.
