BILLIARDS
LINDRUM AND GRAY
By Saturday morning’s boat Messrs. Geo. Gray ana Fred Lindrum, the two youthful billiard champions arrived in Gisborne. Both .players- have a remarkable record and are quite at the top of the tree in their profession. They are at present on a tour of the Dominion, and have 'been meeting with a great deal of success in each of the places they have visited. Gray is not unknown to Gisborne folk, ihaving been here last year. As is doubtless known, he holds the record for the biggest break. He relies principally on the" losing hazard shot, and has absolutely perfected this shot. Lindrum, on the other hand, is a much more versatile player. His cannon play is said to be a revelation, while . he. is also very good at top of table work. The chanipions will give an exhibition in the 'Cosmopolitan Club to-mor-row night at' 7.30.
