BRITANNIA CLUB ROAD RACE

The Britannia Bicycle dub wil{L hold a road race over the Makauri course on Thursday next, commencing at 5.30 ip.m. j and a boys’ race over the Makaraka course the same < day, commencing at 6.15 p.m. The first'prize for the senior race will be a trophy to the value of £3, presented by the club; second prize, trophy, valued at £2, presented'by the Cycle and Motor Supply Company; third prize, trophy, valued at £l, presented by Messrs H. Anderson and Son. Mr. F. King will donate a shaving set to the unplaced competitor securing the fastest time. For the boys’ race, the winner will annex a desk l (presented : by Messrs C. Rosie and Co.), and a .silver medal (donated by Messrs H. Anderson and Son); second prize, clockj third prize, inkstand. The boys’ race will start and finish opposite Anderson’s bicycle shop. Twenty-nine entries have been received for the senior race and ten for the boys’ race. . The following handicaps have been declared for the senior race:—-
