THE WEATHER

The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and forecast: • The weather has been very warm and fine, the winds variable and moderate generally, but as a southerly gale lias prevailed at the East Cape to-day, there has been little movement of the barometer, though the indications are still for a fall everywhere shortly. .The weather will probably continue warm. Strong easterly winds are probable in the north, and increasing northerlies elsewhere. The present conditions are unstable, and somewhat threatening to the westward.
