DR. COOK A “FAKER”.

REPORT OF EXPERTS.

United Puess Association —Copybight

(Received December 22, 9.55 a.m.)

“COPENHAGEN, Dec. 21

Reuters Copenhagen correspondent reports that the committee of the University announces that the documents submitted for investigation contain no proof that Dr. Cook reached the Pole.

REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF INVESTIGATION.

(Received December 22, 10.35 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 22.

The Copenhagen Committee of Investigation, including Herr Rassmussen, the Arctic explorer, state that, Dr. Cook submitted a typewritten report, esssentially identical with that supplied to the “New York Herald,” and a copy of his note books, which contain no astronomical records. The committee censures Dr. Cook for submtiting a report lacking clear information in an inadmissable degree. The original notebooks were not produced. Mr. Lonsdale states that he sent these by another route to frustrate a plot to steal them. . Press comments in London and New York suggest that the report ends Dr. Cook’s pretensions.
