HAWKE’S BAY V. POVERTY BAY
A telegram was received yesterday by. Mr. J. H. Wack, hon. secretary ot the Poverty Bay Cricket Association, from- Mr. E. P. Smyrk, hon. secretary of i the Hawke’s Bay Cricket Association. stating that the Hawke s Bay representative team would definitely visit Gisborne on the 29th to play the' annual match with Poverty Bay. lhe team, which will not . represent the full strongth of the Napier Association, will arrive on Wednesday, the 29tli, and letum to Napier on Sunday, January 2nd. . . , The following pla3 r ers are certainties for the trip:—J. H. Board, A. Fenton, J. O’Brien, Anderson, Hmdmarsh, Smyr'k (junr.). Baker, and Betts. H. B. Lusk, who is at present in Gisborne, will be one of the eleven. It has not been definitely decided what days the match will be played on, the fixing of dates being in the hands of Mr. Lusk, who is in communication with his Association as to the most suitable dates. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association will be held this evening to make arrangements for .the match. ' INTER-STATE MATCH.
