At' the second wool sale about 1400 bales were catalogued. The attendance of buyers Avas large. The Americans did not operate, but the French were keen buyers. Generally speaking, prices at the sale Avere about equal to the first of the series, when borne in mind that the wool is heavier in grease. The range of prices Avas: Super , halfbred 13d to 141 d. halfbread llld to medium and inferior 10d to lid, super crossbred lid to 124 d, crossbred 9id to 10id, medium and inferior -Sd to 9d, super • merino 101 dto Hid, merino 9d to lOd, super three-quarter bred Hid to 13d, good three-quarter bred lOd to lid, medium and inferior Sd to 9d. first pieces 7d to 102 d, second pieces 6d t-o 7£d, locks and stained pieces 4d to sid, crutchings 5d to 6id.
