AUSTRAL UNISCOPE COMPANY.

His Majesty’s Theatre was comfortably filled on Saturday night by a most appreciative holiday audience, when the first programme rjf the Austral Uniscope Company’s pictures was presented. The programme, containing films of all classes of subjects, was a most excellent one, many of the pictures being really wonders of the cinematographic art. Tragic, historical, romantic, industrial, humorous, and the popular “travel” films were thrown on to the screen in rapid succession, each being accorded hearty applause. “A Tragedy in Japan,’” ‘A Visit to Naples,” “A Planter’s Wife,” “India-rub-ber' Shoes” and *■ “Carlo’s Revenge’* were among the best of the films shown. During the evening Master Prisk, “the boy basso,” sang “The Skipper,” and the illustrated song, “I Miss You in a Thousand Different. Ways” was contributed., by Mr. Wells. v : 'v ; To-night there will, be a complete change of programme, when amongst a number of choice films .to be presented are “The Wreckers/’ “The Devil’s Drive,” and a beautiful handcolored film entitled' “The Trixie Princess.”
