During the last tAvo evenings agents acting for Queen Alexandra have distributed AA’orstcd shaAvl s and knitted gloves to Avomen and Cardigan jackets, scarves, and gloves to men derelicts on the Thames Embankment. Each man and Avoman Avas also given a shilling. The recipients did not knoAV the source of the gifts, the distribution being made unexpectedly from-a four-Avheel-er. The Queen also sent £IOO to the sufferers by the fire at Messrs Arding and Hobbs’ Clapliam stores.
