KILLED WHILE WRESTLING. TPer Tmcss Association.] PAHIATUA, Dec. 29. At the inquest on the body of Thomas Scrimshaw, the evidence showed that during a friendly wrestle with another man named Pilkmgton, both fell. The deceased sustained acute concussion of the brain. The jury’s verdict was that death resulted from injuries sustained when wrestling with Pilkington, and that the wrestling was forced upon Pilkington, no blame being attachable to Pilkington or any other person. MOTORMAN NOT TO BLAME. WELLINGTON, Dec. 22. At the inquest concerning the death: of Robert Henry Parker, who was knocked down by a tram car on the ISth instant and who died in the hospital last Friday, a verdict was returned that death was due to accident, no blame being attachable to the motorman TRAIN FRIGHTENS HORSES.
OAMARU, Dec. 29. As the up train from Palmerston arrived at Malieno the whistle startled a, team of horses attached to a dray driven by Timlick. The latter slipped, and the wheels passed over both his lc£js It is feared that both are broken.
