THE NEW ALPINE MINE

(Special to “Times.’') GREYMOUTH, Jan. G. The following is a copy of the New Alpine -mine .manager’s report, elated December 24th: “The contractors have extended 1 No. 14 level a total distance of 104 ft, without disclosing any stone of payable grade. The level was tlien timbered up to the lace and a start was made to raise 12ft back ironi the face to test for the north winzeblock overhead. This raised nip 10ft, but only boulders have so far been met with, and they are of no value.
