The following note is attached to the scholarship examination lists: “On the production of such further evidence of eligibility as may be required, and on compliance with such further conditions of examination as may be imposed by the regulations of the several districts, scholarships will be •.warded by the Education Board:? to candidates on the list within 'the limit of the number of scholarships in each case available. It should be noted that all scholarship candidates in list 1, whether a scholarship is awarded or not, are also regarded as having satisfied the examination qualification for junior free places.” The following are the candidates from Gisborne district: —Junior scholarship: Arthur Fyson, Horace Robb, C. H. Bull, T. B. Blackburn, Ellon Angland, Mildred N-icol, Annie Bullard, Louis Parker, Harry Chrisp, Edith Gambrill, and Nora Morgan. Junior free places: Charlotte Image, Iranui Lunn, and Stanley Hoare.
