THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and for-coast: —The weather has continued stormy about Foveaux Strait, and cloudy and hazy generally elsewhere. There has been little movement of the barometer. The present indications are for moderate to strong northerly winds, cloudy and unsettled weather"in the North Island and a slowly falling barometer in the South Island. The barometeric pressure will probably be very unsteady, but with a rising tendency. Westerly and southwesterly winds prevailing with change, able weather. The humidity is increasing in tlie northern districts and good rains will probably eventuate within three o r four days.
